Web1997-1999 korean built danelectro 59 reissue. In great shape, some yellowing on tone knobs. Original finish is slightly checked, shows its age. No dings or blemishes. Comes with original hard case and hangtags. Quite a rare find in this shape, and exceptional build quality as with most korean guitars built in the 80s and 90s. WebJun 18, 2008 · I have the new '59 DC and so far it's been a very pleasurable experience. I need to get it set up exclusively for slide, which is the main reason I bought the guitar. But so far it's great. I lowered the neck pickup a bit, and I may change out the volume/tone pots to get better control during gigs.

I had a short-scale one a few years back, it was super lightweight, fun and easy to play. The only downside was that the lipstick pickups were pretty weak. You can find older longhorns in other colors besides the burst you don't care for, and not all have pointer knobs. And you might realistically find one in nice shape at a nice price.
