WebSep 6, 2015 · Don't know what the swivel cam is. Possibly a cam cleat on the forward control block. I secure the control line to a cleat on the side of the cockpit coaming which works great. A cam cleat on the control block would be way forward and might necessitate going forward to release it. Should check with Garhauer to verify what the swivel cleat is. WebJun 3, 2008 · I have less than a year sailing "larger" boats and was only on my 3rd sail with my new (used) 26M, so my inexperience ws showing yesterday. I tried singlehanding the boat in 15 Kt winds and was not too happy with the results.

If you don't get their swivel you'll have to attach something (cleat or swivel) to each side and that involves drilling holes. The swivels are on the pricey side but they are worth it - to me anyway.
