Bullets are Oregon Trail Trueshot Cast Bullets 30 Caliber (309 Diameter) 170 Grain Lead Flat Nose Gas Check. Can't get them to group at all. Powders tried are Win 748, Varget, Reloader 7 and H4895 at velocities from 1700 to … WebApr 5, 2024 · Is the powder coat as good as a gas check at preventing leading while shot at full power loads. Does powder coat completely remove the need for gas checks on all bullets at all speeds. My specific area would be the common lyman 155 cast bullet with the dual crimp rings in 38 and or 357.
